With the arrangement of Taiwan External Trade Development Council, the first delegation
of“mainlanders’Medical Tourism Tour in Taiwan,” co-organized by various hospitals
such as Guangzhou Xian Health Management Center, Shin Kong Wo Ho-So Memorial Hospital,
Cathay Hospital, Changhua Christian Hospital and Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital,
has arrived in Taiwan. 30 tourists from Guangdong have been invited to come to Taiwan
for a 6-day-5-night, health examination, travel and SPA, three-in-one, new travel
experience.

Lin Hwai, the president of Guangzhou Women’s World as well as Guangzhou Xian Health
Management Center, said that, after the first delegation, the next delegation with 50
people is expected to depart by the end of August. Before the Chinese lunar New Year
next year, there will be another five or six mainland tourism and health examination
delegations arriving in Taiwan. However, because significant progress has been made
in cross-strait relations, the related industrial values are expected to grow steadily
and continuously. At the press conference, Yeh Ming-shui, Lin Hwai and Shui Mei Hot
Spring Resort’s chairperson Chou Shui-mei signed a collaboration agreement, with goals
to beef up the propagation of mainland people who come to Taiwan for tourism and health
examination.
